We are celebrating the release of our first story game app, Cranberry Moon Empire in the iPhone Apple store.

For the celebration, I created a video featuring Cranberry Festival.

Celebrating Cranberry Moon Empire App with a Cranberry Festival

While I was rewriting the cat novel, Scider the Wizard Cat, I kept seeing a girl who keeps hearing unusual buzzing sounds.

I wanted to help her, but this young adult girl didn’t want my help like that. She just wanted me to hear her story.

I started writing it as a short story and showed it to my friend who happens to be an iPhone app developer. I expected him to say, “nay, toss it,” or “publish it as a short story.” Instead, he said you should turn this into a game app.

“Too short,” I said.

“I think there is a story in there,” he said.

I was ready to publish it as a short story so I can focus on completing my cat story, which is still in progress, but that girl, CB, she kept coming up again and again.

“Girl,” I said to her. “You will have to be be done as a short story. I have other projects I need to work on.”

CB WOULDN’T QUIT

My character then introduced me to her fiancé, Newton, her friends in Portland, and other extraordinary characters leading me to the Cranberry Moon Empire, a fascinating place that I just wanted to know more about.

I told my friend about the story progression, and he approached me with a pilot version of the game app, and we both started designing the app.  He got busy writing the code, and I started writing chapters for the story.

The short story now has turned into a full-blown novel, with interactive choices in the app.  Essentially, this is a story in an app.

Although I was viewing her world from outside in, I felt at times, I went everywhere she went. I can only hope that I captured that in the story.

EVERYONE HAS A STORY TO TELL

Everyone has a story to tell.  This is a story of a girl who moved from Portland, Oregon to Alcove.

CB, known as CB Kate Tyche, moved from Portland Oregon to the town of Alcove to be near her fiancé, Newton.  She was beginning to think that was a big mistake.  See what she finds about Alcove.

The beginning of the story is revolved around her current life in her new small town.

As the story progresses, a few choices lead you to places that she is visiting for the first time.
