For a while now, I’ve been working on a a Halloween song called Grandma Goes Trick ‘n or Treat ‘n. And I’m thrilled to finally share it! It was an absolute blast getting this project together.
At first, I was trying to practice this song on a keyboard bought at the Guitar Center.
And after trying sometime, I decided I needed to try something else. I teamed up with my talented musician friend to handle the instrumentation. The track is now officially ready to be shared.
How Grandma Goes Trick ‘n or Treat ‘n about?
The song came about because I really wanted to create some not-so-scary music, although I did manage to put a few notes of it in there.
This Halloween song was actually inspired by one of my characters. A character I can talk about later, buth the idea is to give a fun, unique vibe.
The song or my song is officially called “Grandma Goes Trick ‘n or Treat ‘n or Trick-or-Treating, but I took one section and developed it into its own piece: “The Trick-or-Treat Dance” or “The Trick ‘n or Treat ‘n Dance.”

I handled the writing, singing, and partial composition, while my friend laid down the musical arrangement. We spent weeks going back and forth, adding, removing, and redoing instruments until we got it to the point where we couldn’t help but bop to it!
After finishing the song, I started working on the video piece. I thought about animating, but after trying, they were all becoming stick figures. I really did like my stick figures. Some were playing instruments and some where just dressed up. I wanted something more interesting than that, though there is nothing wrong with stick figures. I decided to go with a theme for the song with plenty of Halloween characters involved.
