Spinach salad with nuts and cranberries is a food series from the Cranberry Moon Empire, an interactive app novel I am currently writing. As of this moment, I am editing the novel while the developer is fine-tuning the codes for the adventure choices for purchase.
I love following my characters and writing about their hobbies, their favorite foods, and things they like to do. In my blog series, I have been focusing on Nina, but I will expand on other characters and their hobbies in the next couple of months.
Cranberry Moon Empire Pub
This salad is inspired from an except where CB goes to her favorite pub in Oregon, the Happy Hoppy Pub. Happy Hoppy Pub is a fictional pub in the Cranberry Moon Empire. Of course, there are tons of places in Oregon that may serve a similar salad. She usually orders this salad along with her favorite beverage. Of course, her friend, Nina, who is learning to cook, also makes this salad.
The pub makes it a little more different than Nina, as they throw feta cheese, green onions, and a few fresh green works. Nina’s version is a lot simpler. I am making Nina’s version today.
Salad for two, inspired by the Cranberry Girl
Ingredients:
A tablespoon of dried cranberries, more if you love cranberries
A tablespoon of toasted pecans, more if you love pecans or add walnuts if you prefer them.
Two teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil
A teaspoon of balsamic vinegar
Add pecans
Thinly sliced onions. (Nina is still learning how to slice onions).
Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste
Add a handful of washed and dried baby spinach
Tools you need:
A salad bowl
Mixing spoon
Steps:
Throw all the ingredients in the bowl.
Now take the spoon and mix it up.
Grab your favorite utensil and eat away. Nina loves to use chopsticks, so that’s how she serves it.

Nina is definitely a pecan person.
Note: you can add cheese, more nuts, different types of dried berries. Feed your culinary taste.
